I will probably complete this assignment with Julie. She is an English major, and that is what i would like to go into in my future.I love English.
Everyone learns important lessons in their life. I learned mine from my old volleyball coach. Before one of the biggest tournaments we were going to play in, one of our main setters sprained her ankle. A few other players could not play, so we had to find a new setter. Everyone was about to give up, when she taught my friend how to set perfectly. After, we realized we would have lost the tou The article is by the FamilyEducation Staff. It is all about teens working, and how jobs can be either a good or bad thing. People at the ages 14-15 can work, but not more than 48 hours (adding in schooling hours), 6 days a week, or late shifts. People over the age of 16 can work any number of hours. Children younger than 14 cannot work any hours other than 7 a.m. – 7 p.m., and 9 p.m. in the summer. I feel that it is important to have a job at a young age, because it can help you later in life. If you don’t get a chance to go to a party, there will always be another party. It can also give you money, so then you won’t be as reliant on your family. This could give you a sense of independence, and it can prepare you for the future. Also, it can help you become more responsible and social. My plan of action is to get a job at Burger King, Taco Bell, or McDonald’s with Emily Samolej. Over the summer, I want to get my lifeguard certificate, and become one when I’m 16. Emily and I are going to get job applications this weekend, and turn them in as soon as possible. I would like to work at a place with my friend, because I usually feel more comfortable around my friend and strangers, than just strangers. It could help make my workplace more enjoyable. confidence (http://definr.com/confidence) n 1: freedom from doubt; belief in yourself and your abilities; "his assurance in his superiority did not make him popular"; "after that failure he lost his confidence"; "she spoke with authority" responsibility (http://definr.com/responsibility) n 1: the social force that binds you to your obligations and the courses of action demanded by that force: "we must instill a sense of duty in our children"; "every right implies a responsibility; every opportunity, an obligation; every possession, a duty"- John The article is unbelievable, because most teams are more focused on winning. This team wanted to help the other player get her home run, because they thought she deserved it. It is kind of disappointing that the title says "unbelievable" because this should happen more often. People should show more sportsmanship. The title of this fable is, “Farmer’s Donkey”. It is about not letting life get you down. The people are trying to bury the donkey, but the donkey climbs on top of the dirt. He gets out in the end. The donkey shows the people that he won’t give up. I agree because everyone at some point will probably try to put you down. I relate to this because last year I sprained my ankle and cracked it in two spots, and I had to skip dance for 3 weeks. As soon as I got back, I had to learn 3 whole new dances and change most of 2. On top of that, I still had to remember the rest of the 8 dances. We only had a few weeks before rehearsals, and I had to work extra hard to remember all of it. This information can benefit my future because it tells you to never give up. I would change how stubborn I am. If I don’t think I can do something, I just won’t do it. This article applies to the chapter we are learning, because we are learning about a positive attitude. Attitudes effect our work life. abandoned (http://definr.com/abandoned) adj 1: no longer inhabited; "weed-grown yard of an abandoned farmhouse" astonished (http://definr.com/astonished) my best friend always has a smile on her face. she can make anyone laugh, and shes gorgeous. i dont know what i would do with out her. even though our friendship has had a rough past, i know she will always be there for me n o matter what we were going through. i talk to her about everythimg, and in the summer, we practically live at each others' houses. |
